CLUB Limerick Dublin Notes:
AGM:
The 2026 AGM will welcome on Wednesday, 4 March at 20.00 in The Goat, Upper Kilmacud Road the largest contingent of Limerick stars to attend the meeting. Together, the three guests – Declan Hannon, Iain Corbett and Josh Ryan – have given nearly 40 years of service to senior hurling and football with the county. Come along and hear their story of outstanding achievements. It promises to be a unique night. Refreshments will be served after the meeting.
Declan Hannon:
As a Leaving Cert student in 2010, Declan made his senior league debut with the Limerick hurlers. By the end of that season, the 18-year-old was an All-Star nominee. 15 years later, the Adare man has written himself into the history books as the only player to lift the Liam McCarthy cup on five occasions, including that 45-year famine ending moment in 2018. His has been a stellar career – 5 All-Ireland senior medals, 7 Munster titles, 3 League and All-Star awards, a senior club county title, Harty and Fitzgibbon Cups. He has done it all. An exemplary leader and sportsman.
Iain Corbett:
Iain Corbett joined the Limerick senior football squad in 2011, making his Munster championship debut the following year against Waterford. In 2020, he joined a select group of Limerick football players who have received All-Star nominations. On that team in 2020 were Paul Kinnerk, current Limerick hurling coach and Pa Ranahan, current Limerick football selector. The Newcastle West man was part of a Limerick team that travelled from Division 4 of the Allianz League to Division 2 in 2022, having filled the role of co-captain. In 2025, he was a member of the first Limerick team to reach the Tailteann Cup final and finished the season with the No. 6 shirt on the Tailteann Cup Team of the Year.
Josh Ryan:
With three-quarters of the game gone, Limerick trailed Wicklow by 7 points in the semi-final of the 2025 Tailteann Cup when Josh Ryan realised every goalkeeper’s dream of saving a penalty in Croke Park. Not content with that, the Oola man knocked over two two-pointer frees to garner four points, which proved to be Limerick’s winning margin. No surprise then that the former forward also made it onto the Team of the Year. Josh made his senior debut in 2017 and is currently recovering from an ACL injury suffered in last year’s club football championship in Limerick. Despite that, he still managed to win the Golden Boot award as the top scorer in the competition.
