U13 Hurling:
Unfortunately, it wasn’t our day in the U13 County Final, but every one of these lads can hold their heads high after a huge effort and commitment right throughout the year. Reaching a county final is a fantastic achievement and something the players, mentors and families should all be very proud of and they represented Bruff GAA with great pride every step of the way. A huge thank you to the management team for all their hard work and dedication and to all the supporters who travelled and backed the lads all year long
U17 Hurling
A huge performance from the lads this week to secure a great win against Doon. A real tough, fair encounter, with Bruff taking a commanding lead in the first half only for Doon to come roaring back into the game coming down the home straight. But Bruff dug in and got scores at crucial times to see out the victory. Well done to all involved and thanks to everyone who came out to support. Final score Bruff 2-15 Doon 1-7.
Tidy Towns:
Our Under 13s put away the hurleys for a few hours last weekend to do their little bit for the parish — and a fine job they did too! From the GAA field to Ardykeohane, Brú na nDéise, Sycamore Drive and Main Street, the lads covered plenty of ground. A very important refuel stop for ice cream came before the home straight down Lower Main Street and onto Crawford Street, before heading back to the clubhouse for a quick puck around in preparation for their County Final next Saturday morning in Rathkeale at 11:30am
U7’s U9’s U11s:
Brilliant evening for our younger players who were delighted to meet some of our Féile team after training this week. The younger lads really enjoyed spending time with the older players, chatting hurling, getting photos and seeing first-hand the dedication and teamwork it takes to represent the club at Féile level.
U7s:
A huge well done to our U7s who travelled to Martinstown for a very special day this week — the first outing of their hurling journey in the red and white of Bruff GAA The boys showed great enthusiasm, energy and smiles throughout the day and it was fantastic to see them proudly wearing the club colours for the very first time. Days like these are where lifelong friendships, memories and a love of hurling begin.
Facilities Upgrades:
Great to see work underway on the new fencing, another big step forward in the ongoing development of our facilities! These upgrades are improving the experience for our players, members and supporters, while helping us build a safe, modern environment for everyone in the club.
