U17 Boys:
Athea 2-07 Granagh/Ballingarry 1-09
We had a hard fought win last wednesday in ballingarry. We played with the wind in the first half, but G/B scored first with a goal. we rallied well from this set back to lead at half time 2- 05 to 1-01. Patrick Healy getting a well struck goal and Daniel Hunts long range shot ended up in the net. It was an outstanding rear guard action in the second half to hold on for a fortunate 1 point win. Team Eoin Ahern, John Ahern, Tom Mullane, Edward Kelly, Paddy O Connor, Mark Ahern, Daniel Broderick, Dan Hunt, Mark Collins, Tony Ambrose, Aaron Broderick, Joe Scanlon, Tadhg Hunt, Conor Leech, Patrich healy, Subs, Aaron Hunt, Shea Ahern, Cathal Fitzgerald and Shane Ahern.
We play Knockaderry next Wednesday May 6th in Athea in round 3.
Underage Football Training Returns:
Our Friday evening 6:30 to 7:30 underage training from nursery to U12s is back.
Underage Hurling Training:
Hurling Training Sunday Mornings 10am.
