Athea GAA Club Notes:

Congratulations to Evan Curry who has been selected for the U20 Limerick football panel for 2026.

Congratulations to Lauren Healy and Shauna Collins who played Carlow in an u16 challenge game yesterday in UL. Shauna scored 1g 2pt.

Congratulations to Anna Murphy who played on the 14 team v Kerry in Mountcollins scoring 2g 2pt and to Grace Hunt and Maeve Murphy who played Offaly in a minor challenge in UL Maeve scored 1g and 3pt a very proud day for the club. Senior training is back, with the ladies training at the pitch Monday night at 7pm

Every Step Counts – Get Ready for 2026

🥳 Every Step Counts is back! It’s time to reconnect with your club and community and feel the benefits of physical exercise. Get tracking for 5 weeks from Wednesday 7th January to Wednesday 11th February to help your club reach a combined target of 4,000km.

Any club that hits the 4,000km distance over 5 weeks will be entered into the draw to win a share. There’ll be 3 donations of *€2,500 towards club funding per province up for grabs.

The more participants we get, the quicker we will hit the target, so make sure that every step really does count!
