Well done to all the boys and girls who played in their own parish league to conclude the season last Friday night . There was great excited at the end when each player was presented with a medal / cert and treats.
Well done to each and everyone for making Friday night football a huge success. Most especially the coaches who give of their time to teach the kids the fundamental movements and skills of the game.
U9 & U11 Parish League
The end of year U9 & U11 Parish League will take place on Friday October 7th @6.30pm. There will be medal and cup presentation directly afterwards with party for the kids. All support welcome to watch Athea’s emerging talent
U8 Girls
Well done to our u8 team who played their final game of season against Fr Casey’s in Abbeyfeale last Wednesday night.
There has been massive improvements throughout the year from every player and its been great to see everyone enjoying themselves so much.

U10 Girls
Well done to our U10 girls why put in a huge performance in Ballyhahill Saturday morning against Gerald Griffins in their final game this year.
They may be small in number but huge in heart.
Thanks to their coaches for their hours of volunteerism and parents for driving them to training and matches.
U12 Girls
Our u12’s will play Gerald Griffins in their last game Tuesday 4th October at 6.30 in Ballyhahill
Hurling
Congratulations to Timmy O Keeffe, Knocknaboul, who scored 1-2 from centre forward for Tournafulla/Monagae/Killeedy in their county U15 hurling final win over Doon.
Junior Mens
Athea lost out to Cappamore last Saturday morning in Ballybrown in the quarter final, finishing Athea 0-09 Cappamore 1-10. The boys put in a good effort, but were unfortunate to come out the poorer side on the day.
