ATHEA

Club Development Draw
Just two weeks left to purchase your ticket for the Athea GAA Club Draw 2022.
Our Club has set ourselves an ambitious plan to achieve the following over the coming months –
1. Drainage and sand carpet of Lower and Upper Training areas
2. Tarmacadam resurfacing of Carpark
3. Installation of Sound System around our Walk & Talk Track.
This will only be possible if we raise sufficient funds through our Club Development Draw to part fund these projects. We have listened to you, the public, and taken on board feedback received on developments required to improve user experience. Tickets are priced at just €50, gaining access to 5 draws over 5 months with a total prize fund of €7,200.
If you would like to be training on a smooth sand carpet pitch, parking your car in a lined, high-quality surface, or running the track to the sound of ABBA, then please do consider supporting our annual fundraiser. Tickets can be purchased now through Clubforce – https://member.clubforce.com/memberships_cart_m.asp…

U16 Girls
Hard luck to the Athea U16 ladies who were narrowly defeated by a strong Ballylanders in the Co final on Monday evening in what was a thrilling game of football.
The future is bright with these young ladies who gave it their all until the final whistle. Best on the night we’re Emma Scanlon who gave a display of football alongside captain Katie Byrne. Molly and Brid Hunt gave it their all with Rebecca Collins, Clodagh Ahern and Maeve Murphy. Patrice Hayes having one of the games of the season in the fullback line assisted by the ever dependable Emma Vaughan and Isobel Barrett.
The club would like to thank Paul Collins of Collins’s XL for his kind donation towards tops for the ladies U16 team.
