Limerick defeated Clare to capture the Allianz Hurling Lewague Division 11 Final in Cusack Park, Ennis by 4.12 to 1.27 on Sunday 30th April amid great scenes of jubilation as the Cup was presented to Limerick Captain, Gavin O’Mahony.
(However Limerick were not promoted to Division 1 because of a re structure of the Allianz Hurling League for 2012)
In front of 8,536 attendance at Pairc na nGael on Wednesday, 7th. August, Limerick scored a two point victory over Cork to win the Munster Under 21 Hurling Championship title on a score line of 4.20 to 1.17
Limerick Footballers were now playing Allianz Football League Division 3, after winning promotion the previous year and they scored a memorable win over Cavan in the Gaelic Grounds by 2.14 to 0.15 in a Round 4 game played on Sunday 13th. March.
On the Club Scene Effin won the AIB Munster Intermediate Hurling Championship Title following in their success in the Junior final in 2010
