Some of our Bord na nÓg coaches visited both our national schools last week. We were delighted to especially meet the Junior Infant classes in both schools and talk about the fun games and coaching the club carry out for all boys and girls in our club. We hope to see a lot of new faces over the next few weeks at U-6 and at u 8 training. We also met the other classes. In Hospital school, we were delighted to congratulate the girls team on their recent win in their football competition, and wished both the boys and girls the best of luck in their hurling competitions in the new year. Before leaving we were delighted to present school principal, Brendan Moloney, with some football and hurling gear from the Bord na nÓg club and to thank Brendan and his staff for all the hurling and football coaching they do in school.
In Herbertstown school we met all the classes and teachers and especially both local teachers and club players, Mike Fitzgerald and Billy Davern, who are doing great work with all the classes from lunch time hurling games to after school training. Before leaving, we also presented some football and hurling gear to Herbertstown school.
We would like to thank both Brendan Moloney in Hospital NS and Carmel Heelan in Herbertstown NS and all their staff for the very warm and welcoming reception we received.
