SCHOOLS

Lots of activity this week at the pitches in Kilbreedy. The local schools are making the most of the continued good weather and our great facilities to host their annual Gaelic Football blitzes.

Commiserations to Martinstown National School’s boy’s team who lost out on a place in the Finals following their divisional blitz on Wednesday last. However they have a young side and some great talent coming through, so looking good for the future. Great effort boys.

But Congratulations to Bulgaden National School, who again built on their reputation as a sporting school, to win all three matches in their blitz on Thursday and so they will head into the Finals day in a couple of weeks time. Remarkably, their team consists of 2 boys in 6th class, 1 in 4th Class and 4 of the team from 3rd Class, so a very young squad. Well Done boys! Mention must also be made for all their hard work to Ms. Hyland, their teacher and to Paddy Mooney their coach.
