Staker Wallace GAA Club Notes

We are delighted to have the opportunity to sell our Ace of Hearts tickets at Gortboy Service Station, Kilmallock.. so if you don’t already purchase a ticket, please do your best to pop in and buy one, and support all our team and facilities. Thank you..
Tickets can also be bought at Creed’s Shop, Elton and in Bulgaden Castle… Tickets are €2 each 3 for a €5 or €20 for a book of 12 which covers you in our draw for the next 3 months. Just a reminder too, that this Ace of Hearts game is very winnable, it cannot unlike some other number lottos, run on for years. It can only go 52 weeks at the maximum, until the Ace of Hearts is pulled out of the pack.

This week Tony O’Shea drew an Ace but it was Clubs not Hearts and so the search goes on…. next week’s Jackpot will be €1,800….
Lucky dips were also drawn in favour of Willie Lyons, Bernard Leahy, Chloe O’Loughlin and Ian Carroll…

Next week’s draw Monday 8th October 9pm in Bulgaden Castle

Thanks to everyone for playing our Ace of Hearts Lotto Game

Our underage activities are quickly coming to a conclusion, and this week brought another set of finals and last of the season blitzes for our young teams.

We had a most enjoyable time with the U6’s on Saturday over in Effin. They really enjoyed the morning and the treats afterwards!
Thanks to all the parents who have been very supportive all season, and to coaches Margaret, Paul and Noel for all their hard work…we hope all the players have enjoyed their first year with the club, and learned new skills and made friends that will last a lifetime…

The under eights travelled up to Glenbrohane last Sunday,to take part in their gala day, an event we have kindly been invited to for the last few years. Our team showed great tenacity on the day to come away with the Football Shield, so well done to all…

Our U10’s took part in their last County Blitz at home here in Staker Wallace GAA, they had 3 Football matches, maybe a win a draw and a loss, as they say, but it’s all non competitive, although our boys were taking things seriously on the day, and working very hard.

Our U12’s are bucking the trend of winding down, and are instead just about to start a new mini League this week. On Tuesday nights for the month of October the U12 Hurlers will take on other local clubs starting this week with an away match against Dromin Athlacca. Good Luck Lads..

The U15’s are quite rightly celebrating this week, after their win on Sunday afternoon against St. Kieran’s in the Div 2 Football County Final. They took home the spoils with a score of 1.04 to 0.06. Excellent game, Well Done Lads..

The Minors followed on from their South’s/City County Final win last week, with another impressive win this weekend in the Minor B Hurling Championship Semi Final against Granagh/Ballingarry with a score of 3.15 to 1.10.

We would like to acknowledge the kind sponsorship of Davy’s of Effin, who have provided the funds for a much needed new set of Jerseys for our Cois Laoi Gaels U10’s team, which they proudly wore at their blitz last week..
