RATHKEALE GAA CLUB NOTES

U21 Hurling Presentation

We are delighted to announce that the U21 Hurling West Championship Medal Presentation for Croagh\Kilfinny\Rathkeale will take place this Friday night, January 31st, in the Ramble Inn at 9.30pm. All panelist members & families are invited, with light refreshments provided on the night. We look forward to seeing you there!

New Bord na nÓg Secretary

Congratulations to Triona Giltenane who was appointed the new Secretary of the Bord na nÓg at the recent AGM. Triona has been heavily involved with this group in recent years, where she has done great work, we wish her all the best in her new role. We would also like to thank outgoing Secretary, Mike Barret, for all his great work over the past number of years.

West Award Winners

Congratulations to Barry Coleman who won a West Intermediate Football All Star and to Jimmy Langan who was the proud winner of the West Merit Award. Finally, congratulations to Barry Lenihan of Croagh Kilfinny\Rathkeale who secured a West U21 Hurling All Star.

Club Limerick Draw – January Winners

The last of the 2019 Club Limerick Draws took place last Saturday, and we are delighted to announce we had two more winners. John Geoghegan snapped up €500, while Michael O’Dwyer secured €100, not a bad way to overcome the January blues! That takes our tally of winners to 49, over the last 50 monthly draws, we doubt any other Club in the County can boast that success rate. We would like to thank you for your continued support and we hope to see you onboard for the 2020 Club Limerick Draw.

Club Membership 2020

Club membership for the 2020 season is now due. Rates for the upcoming season are as follows: Adult €50, Under-18 €20 and a family rate of €70. The rate for non-playing adult members will remain at €30. This represents good value in comparison to membership costs in other clubs across the county. All players must pay their membership prior to taking part in any games or training. This will be strictly enforced this year so make sure you contact Philip O’Donnell, who is the club registrar again for 2020, before training commences. We are taking this matter very serious this year and you

simply won’t play if you haven’t paid, players are also going to ensure that their fellow players have paid so no excuses.
