Primary Schools Success:

Primary schools in the parish enjoyed huge success in the recent Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Limerick City Boys and Girls finals at the Gaelic Grounds. Monaleen NS completed a famous double winning both the U11 boys title, with an impressive victory over Caherdavin, & U11 girls football title, after overcoming St Nessan’s, Mungret on the day. Not to be outdone, the Milford NS U13 girls team also claimed a City title after easing past St Nessan’s in an extra time thriller. Congratulations also to the Gaelscoil Chaladh an Treoighe squad which won the Girls B competition in bPairc na nGael.

After their excellent win over Galbally in the previous round, our U21 footballers suffered a narrow one point defeat to Newcastle West, 3-9 to 2-11, in the County premier U21 football championship at Mick Neville Park on Sunday last.
