U10 Hurling Tournament:

Our U10s travelled to a Munster hurling blitz in Thurles on Saturday last. We set off early, with a bus of 23 players and parents arriving at St Patrick’s college pitches in Thurles at 10am. We had 2 teams taking part. Our maroon team lined out as William Ryan O Sullivan, Noah Brennan, Shane O’Dea, Jamie Walsh, Cian McNamara, Christian Higgins, Con McMahon, Ben Barrett, Liam Ellevsen, James Fitzgerald & Josh Kiely.  They were in a group with Wolfe Tones na Sionna (Clare), Knockavilla-Donaskigh Dundrum and Gortnahoe (both Tipperary). They won 2 of their games and lost narrowly to Gortnahoe.

Our white team lined out as Dylan Ryan, Jack Sadlier, Kevin Hennessy, Callum Ahern, Jake Ryan, Michael Collins, James Gallagher, Nathan Graham, Nessa Markham, Callum Ellevsen & Michael Carmody. They were in a group with Gortnahoe 2, Wolfe Tones na Sionna 2, and Banteer (Cork). They drew with Wolfe Tones, and lost to Gortnahoe and to a very strong Banteer side.

These were great matches and great to play teams from all over Munster.

After the blitz we went to Supermacs Tipperary where we were well looked after to wrap up a great day out for all our U10s. Thanks to the parents who came and supported our players. And thanks to Supermacs in Tipperary for looking after us so well. And to our bus sponsor who helped in keeping the cost of our day to a minimum.
