Premier u21 Championship – Garryspillane 1-08 Mungret St. Pauls 0-11

The opening round of the Premier u21 Championship against Mungret/St.Pauls took us to Rathkeale last Saturday 8th February. The opening half was wet and blustery playing against the breeze the Bouncers found conditions difficult and struggled to score only finding 2 points from placed balls. At the break we were 4 points down on a score line of Garryspillane 0-2 Mungret St.Pauls 0-6.

On resumption the Bouncers found their feet they pointed a free but not without reply, Mungret/St. Pauls soon replied with a point. Things were going our way and shortly after the ball found the back of the net to leave it a one-point game. Followed on by an exchange of points and again the Bouncers found the net but was declared a square ball and disallowed. There was another point from the opposition, but the Bouncers finished the scoring with 2 more. Credit to The Bouncers for a great late rally which saw a level game at the whistle.
