This was a very tight game played down in Feenagh, on last Thursday night with Croom leading at the break by 3-4 to 1-7 with our goal coming from Michael O’Sullivan and Croom goals came from Mark Reidy two goals and the other goal came from Conor Laffan and then in the second half Croom scored 1-7 to 1-6 our goal came from Derry McCarthy and Croom came from Mark Reidy his third of the game. The is our game third game in the group stages we have lost three from three with Hospital/ Herbertstown and Knockaderry. The table after three rounds in as follows Dromin/ Athlacca and Croom both on six points, Knockaderry three points, St. Patrick’s on two points, Hospital/ Herbertstown a point and Dromcollogher/ Broadford no points.

Derry McCarthy of Dromcollogher/ Broadford and Eoin O’Farrell exchanged pointed frees and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next three points came from Micheál Brosnan, Paul Madigan and Damien Bourke to give us back the lead of three points. James Malone of Croom and Derry McCarthy of Dromcollogher/ Broadford exchanged points and then Croom scored the next 1-1 of the game with goal coming from Mark Reidy and the point came from Conor Laffan to lead by a point. Micheál Brosnan scored the next point for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to bring sides back on level terms for the second time during the game. Dromcollogher/ Broadford took the lead once again with goal coming from Michael O’Sullivan and then Mark Reidy scored the goal of the game for Croom. Croom scored the next 1-1 of the game with goal coming from Conor Laffan and the point came from Mark Reidy to leave four points between the sides and then Derry McCarthy scored the last point of the half for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to leave three points between the sides at the break. To leave the score at half-time Croom 3-4 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-7.

Gearóid Sexton of Croom and Derry McCarthy of Dromcollogher/ Broadford exchanged points early in the second half and then Mickey Cahill of Croom and Derry McCarthy of Dromcollogher/ Broadford exchanged points. Mark Reidy of Croom and Damien Burke of Dromcollogher/ Broadford exchanged points and then Conor Laffan of Croom and Derry McCarthy of Dromcollogher/ Broadford exchanged points. Croom scored the next 1-1 of the game with the goal coming from Mark Reidy his third of the game and the point came from Eoin O’Farrell and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next 1-1 of the game with goal coming from Derry McCarthy from a free and the point came from Damien Burke to leave three points. Croom scored the last point of the coming form Mark Reidy once again to leave four points at end of the game. To leave the score at full-time Croom 4-11 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 2-13.

This was a very tight game the scoreline does reflect the game with our goals coming from Colm Ryan three and the goal coming from James Molyneaux. In the first half Dromcollogher/ Broadford lead at the break by 3-7 to 2-5 with all three goals coming from Colm Ryan and then in the second half Ballysteen scored 6-5 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-2 with our goal coming from James Molyneux.

U10 Hurling

On Friday night last our u10 ten hurlers travelled to Mick Neville park for a county blitz. There were twenty-four teams taking part on the night with each team getting three games. We got to play Rathkeale, Feenagh/ Kilmeedy and Croagh/ Kilfinny. The thirteen players that turned up all played extremely well by winning all three games. These bunch of players are improving in every game they are really playing well together. Well done to all the players and supporters for all their hard work and dedication. The list of players were: C Boyce, S Browne, R O’Dell, DJ Cussen, R Sheehan, S O’Flynn, C Burke, J Lenihan, D Fealy, D O’Connell, B Geary, J Noonan, O Stokes.

Congratulations

To Noelle Linehan in the World Para Athletics European Championship in Berlin, Germany. She won a gold medal as well as setting a new world record with a throw of 32.95M.

Results of the 307th draw took place on Monday September 3rd, in Neenan’s Bar, Broadford and the numbers drawn were: 6, 7, 27, 29 there was no winner of the jackpot at €1,200 and there also was no winner of match three at €100 and the two lucky dips of €50 each and they were: Dan Costelloe, Dromcollogher and Dan Kennely, Broadford and the next draw will take place in the Corner House, Dromcollogher, on this coming Monday night September 10th and the Jackpot is going up to €1,300 and the match three is staying at €100. Tickets are available from any committee member or any promoter at €2 each or 3 for €5.
