CROOM GAA CLUB NOTES
Cul Camp:
Last week we held a very successful Cul Camp with 74 kids attending and also a mini camp for 4-5 year olds from Wednesday to Friday. It was a very enjoyable week and the coaches were impressed by the interest and application of the kids. Special guest was Limerick star hurler and sharpshooter Aaron Gillane, and we thank Aaron for giving up his time to come out and say hi to the kids. Huge thank you to camp leader Brian Sexton from Bruree, and especially to Breda O’Dwyer, Susan O’Mahony and all who helped make the camp a great success.
Intermediate Hurling:
Last Saturday our Intermediates had a good win away to Cappamore on a scoreline of 011 to 2.10. It was a very warm sunny evening and was an entertaining match. It was a good performance following on from a good week of training. We have one league game left away v Feoghanagh. We will now be continuing our preparation for round 3 of the county championship against Na Piarsigh.
Junior A Football:
Round 1 of the football championship v Oola is on Friday July 26th in Bruff at 7.30pm.
Minors:
Last Friday our Minor Footballers had a great win at home over Galtee Gaels on a scoreline of 4.13 to 2.09. We now have 2 wins from 2 following on from our win over Bruff before the exam break. U16s:
Last week our U16 hurlers had a good win at home v Templeglantine on a scoreline of 2.22 : 2.05. See club Facebook page for fixture updates.
U12s:
This week we are away to Glenroe in hurling on Thursday July 18th. All support welcome.
U8s:
We trained last Monday in preparation for a hurling blitz in Hospital school field this Friday July 19th at 6.45pm. Please come along and support the team.
U6s:
Hurling training this Thursday 6.15-7.15pm.
